Purely to refer people who use it to blogposts. At least that’s the only purpose I use it for.
Actually I used it to cover a couple of live events rather than take a laptop.
So I suppose it has its uses but it is really rather seriously overhyped.

Incidentally – a trend which gets my goat is replication of updates on Twitter and Facebook. Why? Is there some gadget which does this automatically or do people really do this deliberately?

Or better still, go hiking in the Picos de Europa, taste the Asturian air coming from off the Atlantic and forget about the whole thing.
